THINK SPRING!

Spring is here!  At least that's what they tell me; however, you have to question it with the weather sometimes.  It warms up enough to give me spring fever then turns right around and snows.  I suppose this is how it is every year, but I keep wanting to see the trees and flowers in bloom, that is when it really is spring to me.

For those of you who don't know me, we raise cattle, lots of them, and they are for the most part black.  For Christmas of 2009 I told my sweet husband that the only thing I wanted for Christmas was a cow, yes that's right a cow, but not just any cow, a belted galloway.  They are oreo cookie cows, black on both ends and white in the middle.  Well, being the good husband he is, along with my great kids, they got me a cow..... just what I asked for.  Her name is Cookie, and Cookie just had a baby, Cookie dough, so I wanted to share a picture of them with you so that you can hopefully enjoy Spring as much as I do.

IT IS a great time to buy!  Interest rates and home prices are at  historic lows so it's a great time to be a homeowner.

Here is a new home I just listed.  This home is great for any size family and sits on 1.01 acres with animal rights.  4 bedrooms, 3 and 1/2 baths with lots of extra storage. A must see!

My Cute Family

I have been a horrible blogger. My new years resolution is to do better at updating my blog, and what better way to start than with my family.

I am the proud mother of two members of the United States Army. We just received word a few months ago, that they will both (yes, BOTH of them) will be getting deployed in June. I really wanted to get some family pictures taken before they left, so over Christmas break we called up my niece and had her come take some pictures of us. I think they turned out great.

I'm so proud of my cute family!

My Cute Kids

I was blessed with three darling kids. Two boys and one girl. They are all so different, with different interest and hobbies. It has always been fun for my husband and I because it kept us involved in a variety of things.

My oldest is Brett, he is 23 years old. He graduated from Wyo Tech in Laramie, WY and is currently working at Rolling Rubber, a locally owned car and mechanic shop. He is into every kind of car and loves big trucks. He is a hard worker and an absolute sweetheart. If any of his friends, or family members, need help, he is usually the one they call and he is always more than willing to help. He just got inducted into the National Guard and leaves for basic training in July. We are so proud of him!

Then comes Dani, she is 21 years old. She is married to my wonderful son-in-law, Ray Wright. She just graduated from Southern Utah University with her Bachelors in Accounting. Ray and Dani moved to Idaho a year ago so Ray could go to Pharmacy school at Idaho State University. They are both little smarty-pants. Dani was a cheerleader in high school and college and she still enjoys dancing whenever she can. Ray played baseball all through high school and college and he is a softball fanatic now.

My youngest is Casey, he is 19. He is also in the National Guard and will be coming home from basic at the end of this month. We are extremely proud of both our boys for serving our country! Casey is our little cowboy, he takes after his dad. He is so good with animals, no matter what kind they always seem to love him. He plans on going to school to be a Veterinarian when he gets home.  He played football and basketball in high school, but football was always his favorite. And there is a good reason for that--he was really good.

I am so proud of all my kids and am so lucky that they all turned out to be such good people. But then again, I am there mother so I might be a little bit biased. :)

Extended Home Buyer Tax Credit for Armed Service Members!

The home buyer tax credit has been extended for members of the military, foreign service, and intelligence communities!

The law provides qualified service members who served on official extended duty outside of the United States for 90 days or more at any time between January 1, 2009, to April 30, 2010, another year to buy a home and claim the credit. They have until April 30, 2011, to sign a sales contract and until June 30, 2011, to settle and close on the home. Both the $8,000 first-time and $6,500 repeat home buyer tax credits are included in the rule.

“Qualified service members” are defined as a member of the uniformed services of the United States military, a member of the Foreign Service of the United States, or an employee of the intelligence community.
